Music Tuition in Huddersfield
Fancy learning a musical instrument? Or do you want to revisit an old hobby?

Music is amazing and I love sharing what it can do with others. My aim as a teacher is to develop well-rounded musicians with great musical awareness. I promote great technique, music reading and theory through playing all kinds of musical genres, from pop to classical. I often include improvisation and composition in to my lessons and allow creativity in music to flourish. Music can be so much more than just reading the notes!

I teach all ages from beginner to advanced. There is something for everyone and lessons will be tailored to each individual. Whatever approach you may want to take, I am here to guide and adapt my teaching to suit.

What instruments do I teach?

I teach flute, saxophone and clarinet. I can support you in choosing your instrument and offer a free taster where you can try the instruments and decide which one is for you!

I also teach music theory and can help with GCSE/A-level music.

Where do lessons take place?

Lessons take place in my home studio in Huddersfield (HD8) or can be done online using remote technology. I aim to create a relaxed environment with great facilities and resources.

Exams

Exams are not essential but are a great addition to music education. I teach a number
of exam boards and students taking exams will be well prepared and on a syllabus that best suits them.
